What is a Marketing Funnel

Apr 6

What is a Marketing funnel? And why is it important for every marketer to have one?

It is a marketing strategy to encourage prospective customers to purchase items from your business. It's a selling method that lets someone browse your website to find information that solves their problem. You can build a relationship through specific tools.

This will help you know the wants and needs of every visitor. This will allow you to provide the most accurate information possible to every customer. If you are able to build trust with a potential customer, they are more likely to purchase your products. The customer will then turn into a customer.

Many customers end up becoming very loyal customers and buy almost any product that your site sells. A marketing funnel is comprised of the different steps of the sales process that it takes to transform a regular website visitor into an extremely loyal customer who is willing to buy everything that you throw at them.

For every internet marketing professional, this is the final objective. It is achievable with a properly designed funnel.

Your marketing tools are attracted the attention of people and bringing them into your funnel. Once they fill out the PERSONAL form, they are automatically entered the funnel. I use the word "personal" because no one is going to opt in on your business lead capture page. They want to join as a leader and not a company.

The lead capture pages serve as the entry point to the funnel. When they click "Signup Now" or "Enter There", they will enter a completely new concept of marketing via network.

It is their choice. It's their decision. They don't have anything to sell you except yourself as a leader and mentor and as someone who will help them get more leads into their business.

This is the way the typical marketing channel functions.

The "front-end", you can create a free offer that can draw and attract prospective customers who may be interested in purchasing your products further down the sales funnel. In order to get the product for free, users have to sign-up (also known as opt-in) and provide their email address as well as name which in turn are added to your list of email subscribers.

Now, you have these contacts in your email list and you can send them related promotions that may be of interest to them.

When they sign to the offer, the user will be directed to a page that offers a low price or, as it's known, the tripwire offer. It is here that they'll be taken to the "backend" of your funnel.

If the buyer purchases the lowest priced offer, they will be directed to a comparable deal at a higher price (commonly known as an Upsell). The person will also be taken to the next offer when they purchase the same deal at a higher price. This can continue for a long time...
